1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using RightSplit ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
RightSplit is a mobile application that helps users track and split shared expenses within groups. The App allows you to create groups, add expenses, split costs among members, track balances, and record settlements. RightSplit is a tracking tool — it does not process payments, transfer money, or act as a financial institution.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the App. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RightSplit. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
–Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to track fraudulent transactions
–Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
–Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or services
–Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
–Use automated systems or bots to access the App
5. Premium Features & Purchases
RightSplit offers a free tier with limited features (up to 3 members per group and limited expenses). Premium features, including unlimited group members, unlimited expenses, and custom currency selection, are available through a one-time in-app purchase.
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refunds are subject to the respective store's refund policy. We do not directly handle payment information.
6. User Content & Data
You retain ownership of the data you input into the App (group names, expense descriptions, amounts, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the expense data you enter. RightSplit is not responsible for disputes between users regarding expense amounts or settlements.
7. Invitations & Group Membership
When you invite someone to a group, an invitation is sent to their email address. By inviting someone, you confirm you have a reasonable basis to contact them. Invitations expire after 7 days.
8. Currency Conversion
The App provides currency conversion using third-party exchange rate data for convenience. Exchange rates are approximate and updated periodically. RightSplit does not guarantee the accuracy of exchange rates and is not liable for any discrepancies.
9. Limitation of Liability
RightSplit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RightSplit and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to financial disputes between users.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in activity that is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
